Remote Talent Talks: A New Podcast Exploring the Future of Remote Work and Offshoring

Written by Peoplegig | Aug 29, 2024 5:56:23 AM

Imagine a world where the boundaries of work are no longer defined by geography. Where the best talent isn't confined to a single office but is spread across continents, coming together to create something extraordinary. This is the world we believe in at Peoplegig, and it's the world we’re inviting you to explore with us in our new podcast, Remote Talent Talks.

A New Chapter Begins

The idea for Remote Talent Talks started with a simple question: How can we share what we’ve learned about building successful remote teams with a broader audience? Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand the incredible potential that ethical offshoring holds—not just for businesses, but for the people who make up these global teams. We knew we had stories worth telling and insights worth sharing. And so, this podcast was born.

Setting the Stage with Episode 1

Our journey begins with an introduction to a topic that’s more relevant than ever: the future of remote work and offshoring. In our very first episode, we sit down with three of Peoplegig’s key players—Cal, our co-founder; Cy, our Partner Director based in Australia; and Kate, our Head of Talent and People. Together, they unravel the complexities of remote work, sharing personal experiences and professional insights that shed light on this rapidly evolving landscape.

Cal, the visionary behind Peoplegig, starts by talking about our mission. He explains how we’re not just another company offering offshoring solutions—we’re on a mission to empower businesses by creating remote teams that are ethical, efficient, and built to last.

Then there’s Cy, who brings a global perspective to the table. He’s seen the business world shift dramatically, especially after the pandemic. Remote work is no longer just an option; for many, it’s the future. Cy talks about the opportunities this new world offers, from accessing a broader talent pool to improving business resilience.

And finally, we have Kate, who dives into the heart of what makes Peoplegig’s approach unique—the people. She shares stories of Filipino workers who have embraced remote work, finding new freedom and balance in their lives. Kate’s passion for nurturing talent shines through as she talks about the strong work ethic and community spirit that make Filipino teams so successful.

Looking Ahead: What’s in Store for Season 1

As we continue this season, Remote Talent Talks will explore the ins and outs of building high-performing remote teams. We’ll dig into the challenges—because let’s face it, remote work isn’t without its hurdles—and we’ll share how we’ve tackled these challenges head-on.

We’ll also be sharing more stories, because at the end of the day, it’s the people who make remote work possible. From success stories to lessons learned, each episode will take you deeper into the world of offshoring, helping you see the possibilities through a new lens.
